Spring is here. And with every spring, a renewal of some kind or another is bound to take place.
This time, though, this rebirth is taking shape in the form of pure evil. There are evils older than time itself. They're itching to return. They're itching to emerge. They're itching to purge the planet of humanity's existence. They were here first. Be prepared for: Ancient evil. What would you risk to stay alive?

It's been a wild ride. While your editor has been moving 2,000 miles across the country to rural life, writers and artists have been busy creating the best in revenge for your viewing pleasure. This magazine has been put to the test and the loyal contributors are really what's making this issue happen this month. I appreciate ALL of your help and dedication, your belief in this venture and your unfaltering understanding concerning my personal life. We all go through changes. I am still getting used to this extreme change, but I plan to have the issue out and up very soon. With the Internet installation, things have become much easier and I will be starting a Go Fund Me page soon so that I can give something back to the people that have never let me down. You know who you are, and I appreciate you. While I'm no longer on the West Coast, things are still going forward. There's talk of horror and sci-fi bands being featured and included for interviews as well. Lots of exciting things are heading your way. And revenge awaits us all. Amanda DickeyAmanda Dickey is the founder of Subcutaneous Magazine and an avid horror and sci-fi fan. As a lover of all creative expressions of the genre, her goal is to promote & showcase artistic and literary talent to other horror and sci-fi fans. You can contact her at Amanda@subqmag.com. As the Paranormal Issue winds to a close, writers and artists are encouraged to start generating ideas on the next issue. The theme chosen by SubQ's group members in a recent poll was REVENGE (by the way, join the group here for more goodies and special sneak-peeks). Almost everyone loves a revenge piece. I know I do. I'm a huge fan of films such as I Spit on Your Grave, Oldboy, Lady Vengeance, V for Vendetta, Django Unchained, Braveheart... I mean, the list can go on and on. Some of the best stories of all time have been served in a bubbling, melting hot skillet of good, old-fashioned revenge. We've all been through an injustice or empathized with someone going through an injustice at least once in our lives. I'm thrilled to see this manifest on the pages of the Winter issue. I know it will be good, and I'm here to share that excitement with you. Stay tuned and think about that little shit that tormented you in middle school, the group of mean girls that whispered to each other when you walked by or whatever form of injustice you've felt at the hands of others. Live vicariously. It's gonna feel fan-fucking-tastic when you finally exact your (er, or read about and see...) some justly-deserved revenge.
